Práce pojednává o teorii a praxi řízení zaměstnanců v meziválečném Československu a jeho provázanosti s americkým vědeckým řízením. Cílem práce je poskytnout souhrnný pohled na jeho jednotlivé aspekty a kriticky poukázat na úspěchy a nedostatky na základě studia dobových dokumentů. Téma je zasazeno do kontextu historických souvislostí, přiblížena je výchozí hospodářská situace. Představeni jsou zástupci teorie (Stanislav Špaček, Václav Verunáč) i praxe řízení (Franz Hummelberger, Karel Loevenstein, Tomáš Baťa) první československé republiky. V práci je popsán vznik a účel Masarykovy Akademie Práce a organizování Prvního mezinárodního kongresu vědeckého řízení v Praze. The aim is to provide a comprehensive view of the various aspects and critically point out successes and failures based on the study of historical documents. The topic is put into historical context and introduces the initial economic situation. Both representatives of theory (Stanislav Špaček, Václav Verunáč) and practice (Franz Hummelberger, Karel Loevenstein, Tomáš Baťa) in the field are presented. The work describes the formation and the purpose of the Masaryk Academy of Work and the organization of the First International Congress of Scientific Management in Prague.
