[cze][eng] Online dating je v současné době rozšiřující se trend v oblasti seznamování a hledání milostných partnerů. Tento způsob seznamování je specifický svojí formou i chováním aktérů. Jedním z těchto zvláštních aspektů je komunikace, způsob selekce a iniciace kontaktu v rámci online prostředí. Stejně tak specifický je i způsob sebeprezentace. Dochází k redukci informací o jejich osobě a zároveň musí potencionálního partnera zaujmout, může zde tedy docházet ke zkreslování informací o sobě v rámci této sebeprezentace za účelem vyvolání dojmu. Analýza dat ukázala, že spíše lžou muži, stejně tak mají pocit, že jsou na internetu otevřenější více než ženy. Aktéři v online prostoru zkreslují informace častěji v kontaktu s osobou opačného pohlaví. Zároveň samotné užívání internetu je podstatné pro iniciace vztahů prostřednictvím online seznamek. This kind of meeting potential new partner is specific in many ways. Especially in communication, ways of selection and initiation of the relationship online. The reduction of information is another phenomenon in this kind of interaction as a result of creating impression. This contains lying and deception in self-presentation on online dating sides as well. Analysis of data suggests, that men tell lies more than women. They also fell more disclosed on the internet. In addition the users of online dating sides usually tell lies to a person of different gender. The usage of internet appeared as one of the factors that influences the usage of online dating sides for initiation of new relationship as well.
