Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem vyjednávacích strategií takzvaných malých států, které práce definuje ve své teoretické části. Formou případové studie se práce věnuje Irsku a České republice a sleduje jejich postupy a strategie při prosazování jimi požadovaných výjimek týkajících se Lisabonské smlouvy. Takzvané malé státy se vzhledem ke svým omezeným ekonomickým a personálním zdrojům uchylují k využívání specificky namířených aktivit k získávání výhodných vyjednávacích pozic v rámci Evropské unie. Irsko i Česká republika jsou, dle typologie, kterou tato práce aplikuje, zařazeny mezi tento typ států. V průběhu ratifikačního procesu Lisabonské smlouvy narazila Evropská unie na překážky spojené, v irském případě s negativním výsledkem všelidového hlasování o Lisabonské smlouvě a v případě České republiky s negativním postojem prezidenta Václava Klause k dokončení ratifikace. Tyto překážky vyústily ve formulaci požadavků, které obě země předložily evropským institucím. Tato práce se věnuje postupům, které byly v této fázi využity k dosažení záruk, které česká a irská strana požadovala. Tyto postupy jsou dokládány s využitím oficiálních dokumentů a veřejných vyjádření ze strany politických elit obou států a evropských institucí. Práce ve svém závěru konstatuje využitelnost aplikovaného... This bachelor thesis focuses on negotiation strategies used by "small states" that are defined in the theoretical part of the thesis. In the form of a case study, the thesis analyses Irish and Czech approach to negotiations on the exemptions from the Treaty of Lisbon, that were put forward by political representation of both countries. The so- called small states use, due to their limited economic and personal resources, specifically aimed activities in order to gain favorable negotiating positions within the European Union. Both Ireland and Czech Republic are, according to the typology used, classified as "small states". During the ratification process of the Treaty of Lisbon, the European Union encountered obstacles caused by the result of the first Irish referendum and by the stance of Czech President Václav Klaus, regarding the completion of the ratification process. These obstacles led to the formulation of specific demands that were presented to the European Union. This thesis examines the strategies that were used in this stage of the ratification process to achieve legal guarantees for Ireland and Czech Republic.
