Závěrečná práce se zabývá osobností ředitele školy, jeho nezbytnými předpoklady pro řízení, konkrétními vlastnostmi, dovednostmi a schopnostmi školského manažera. Přináší informace o tom, jak je ředitelem vnímána povaha úspěchu v souvislosti s řízením školy a jaké jsou charakteristické vlastnosti typické pro úspěšnost ředitelů základních škol na území hlavního města Prahy. Teoretická část se věnuje vymezení osobnosti, její struktuře, vlastnostem, osobnostní typologii a jejímu určování. Dále shrnuje poznatky o rozlišení podstaty a účelovém zaměření osobního managementu a pojetí úspěchu s uvedením postřehů úspěšných manažerů. Ve výzkumné části je na základě analýzy získaných kvalitativních a kvantitativních dat zpracován smíšený výzkum, který se pokouší objasnit, proč jsou někteří ředitelé považováni za úspěšné a jiní ne a co považují ředitelé školy za úspěšnost ve své manažerské práci a jak pohlíží na úspěšnost ředitelů zřizovatelé. Výstupem bude eventuální indicie k získání představy o vlastnostech a klíčových schopnostech typických pro dosažení úspěšnosti. KLÍČOVÁ SLOVA: ředitel školy, osobnost, osobní management, úspěch, zřizovatel This thesis mainly deals with workplace skills, personal qualities and job requirements of an Elementary School Head Master. Is reveals some valuable information on the headmaster's own perception of business success in Prague - The Czech Republic's capital city. In general, the Thesis consists of two main parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is devoted to Head Master's personality assessment and is mainly focused on the importance of personal integrity, qualities, skills and personality typology as well. It summarizes all the extensive knowledge and draws the attention to the main purpose and aims of personal management itself. Furthermore, it reflects some experience from the real leadership background. The second part of the thesis treats qualitative and quantitative data analysis and all the following outcomes. For the above-mentioned occupation, mixed research method was used to determine the Key Success Factors. It highlights some critical aspects from the employer's /authorities' viewpoint as these may vary according to many factors involved.
