První část práce seznamuje s historickými počátky vzdělávání ošetřovatelek v českých školách a chronologicky popisuje jednotlivá období ve vzdělávání sester. Dále zachycuje současnou koncepci českého ošetřovatelství a různé varianty celoživotního vzdělávání. Druhá část mapuje motivační faktory všeobecných sester, preferování různých forem celoživotního vzdělávání či překážky, které brání sestrám ve studiu, jaké okolnosti je odrazují od absolvování jednotlivých vzdělávacích akcí, zda své vědomosti aplikují do ošetřovatelské praxe. Všichni dotazovaní respondenti pracují na třech klinikách Fakultní nemocnice v Hradci Králové (Neurochirurgické, Ortopedické a Oční klinice).The Bachelor's thesis deals with forms of lifelong education of nurses and their application to nursing practice. The first part of the thesis introduces the historical origins of nurse education in Czech schools and chronologically describes individual periods in nurse education. Furthermore the thesis captures the current concept of the Czech nursing and different variants of lifelong education. The second part presents motivational factors of General Nurses, their preference towards various forms of lifelong education or the barriers that prevent nurses from studying, what circumstances discourage them from the completion of individual training events, whether they apply their knowledge to nursing practice. All interviewed respondents work at three clinics of Teaching Hospital in Hradec Králové (Department of Neurosurgery, Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Department of Ophthalmology).
