Title of the thesis : Paris of Parks and Gardens Keyword : France, gardens, greenery, history, habitants, parks, Paris, contemporary world Abstract : Paris, the capital of France and an important European city is literally interweaved with greenery. The parks, gardens and even two forests have been part of Paris for more than 300 years. The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to draw a historical outline of the creation of Parisian parks, gardens and forests and to describe the most significant and the most interesting aspects about them. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is focused on description of legislation and administration of parks in general, followed by a discussion regarding the lexicological field connected to parks and gardens. The activities in Parisian parks and gardens are studied and compared in the past and in the present in addition to a description of the founders and architects. The second part is a detailed focus on seventeen parks and gardens including two forests, the Boulogne and the Vincennes forests and the Versailles gardens. Each chapter contains analysis of history, infrastructure and decoration elements. Photos of parks and historical plans can be found in Appendix. Parky, zahrady a dokonce dva lesy jsou její neodmyslitelnou součástí již více než tři sta let. Cílem této práce je nastínit historii vzniku pařížských parků, zahrad a lesů a popsat ty nejvýznamnější a nejzajímavější z určitých historických období. Práce je rozdělená na dvě základní části. První se zaměřuje rozborem vyhlášky týkající správy a řízení veřejné zeleně, základní terminologii, aktivity spojené s pařížskými parky a zahradami, zmiňuje i nejvýznamnější osobnosti spojené se vznikem pařížských parků a zahrad. Druhá část se podrobněji zabývá sedmnácti vybranými parky, zahradami a lesy Paříže, zahrnuje i Versaillské zahrady. Kapitoly vždy obsahují historii, infrastrukturu a dekorativní prvky. Přílohy tvoří historické mapy a fotografie parků. Ve své práci jsem vycházela ze studia odborných knih a publikací, historických plánů města Paříže a vyhlášky Řízení zeleně. Dále jsem navštívila osobně všechny vybrané lokality a konzultovala jsem se správcem parku Montsouris řízení a správu parků. Také jsem navštívila Historickou knihovnu města Paříže a Národní archiv.
