Bakalářská práce s názvem Protestní hladovka severoirských vězňů v roce 1981 pohledem dobového československého tisku se zabývá kvalitativní obsahovou analýzou protestní hladovky severoirských vězňů na stránkách tří československých deníků. Zkoumané období je vymezeno protestní hladovkou, která proběhla od 1. března do 3. října 1981 v severoirské věznici Long Kesh. Zvolenými deníky jsou Rudé právo, Mladá fronta a Lidová demokracie. Teoretický rámec práce stručně popisuje historii severoirského konfliktu a průběh protestní hladovky. Metodologická část představuje způsob provedení výzkumu, tedy kvalitativní obsahovou analýzu a s ní spojené základní výzkumné otázky a hypotézy. Ve výzkumné části práce je u každého deníku zvlášť představena jeho formální podoba, proveden jeho rozbor a následná analýza. V závěru výzkumné části práce je provedeno srovnání všech tří analyzovaných deníků. Cílem výzkumu je zjistit, jakou měrou se dobové československé deníky věnovaly událostem v Severním Irsku, jaký byl jejich postoj k celé situaci a jaké výrazové prostředky byly v souvislosti s těmito událostmi v denících použity. The bachelor thesis Hunger strike of the Nortern Irish prisoners in 1981 by the view of the Czechoslovak press deals with the qualitative content analysis of the informations about hunger strike of the Norther Irish prisoners that appeard on the pages of selected Czechsoslovak newspapers. The period under ecxamination is from 1 st March until 3rd October 1981. Hunger strike itself took place in prison in Northern Ireland that was called Long Kesh. Selected newspapers are Rudé právo, Mladá fronta and Lidová demokracie. Theoretical part of the work describes the history of the conflict in Northern Ireland. Methodological part presents research method, which is qualitative content analaysis and with it associated research questions and hypotheses. Each newspapers are introduced and analyzed separately and compared with each other at the end of the work. The main goal of the work is to find out, how selected newspapers informed about the events in Northern Ireland, how much space was given to these events and how much this newspapers presented their own opinion about the conflict.
