[eng][cze] The paper deals with the topical issues connected with the public administration reform in the Czech Republic. On the one side the attention is paid to the problems of creation of the administrative regions of municipalities with extended competence and on the other side to the issue of size of municipalities in the Czech Republic. Possible further topics of research are outlined in conclusion; the possible positive influence of e-government in improved efficiency of the public administration is pointed out here.Příspěvek pojednává o aktuálních otázkách souvisejících s reformou veřejné správy v České republice.
