Bakalářská práce se zabývá úrovní znalostí poskytování první pomoci u řidičů. Teoretická část bakalářské práce je zaměřena na shrnutí informací, které se týkají obecných zásad poskytování první pomoci a postupů první pomoci z vybraných oblastí (bezvědomí, kardiopulmonální resuscitace, šok, krvácení, úrazy). Také jsou zde uvedena zákonná ustanovení týkající se první pomoci, postup při dopravní nehodě a statistika dopravních nehod. V empirické části bylo použito kvantitativní šetření a data byla získána technikou dotazníku. Respondenty byli náhodní řidiči z okolí Kladna. Výzkum byl zaměřen nejen na zjišťování jejich teoretických znalostí v postupech první pomoci, ale také na zjištění překážek, které jim v poskytnutí první pomoci brání. Na základě výsledků byla zjištěna neznalost postupu v situaci, kdy si zachránce není jist, zda zraněný v bezvědomí dýchá. Naopak velmi dobrých výsledků dosáhli respondenti ve vědomostech z oblasti krvácení. 100% úspěšnost pak byla u otázky "Co podáme zraněnému při poranění břicha?". Z překážek, které brání v poskytnutí pomoci, respondenti nejčastěji uvádějí strach z ublížení a obavy z nedostatku znalostí. The theoretical part focuses on general principles in providing first aid and guidelines in selected situations ( unconsciousness, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, shock, hemorrhage, accidents). Also given are legal provisions concerning first aid, the procedure after a traffic accident and statistics of traffic accidents. In the empirical part a quantitative approach was used and data was collected by a questionaire. Respondents were the drivers from the Kladno region, chosen at random. The survey concentrated not only on theoretical knowledge of the drivers in providing first aid, but also on finding out obstacles that prevent them from doing so. The results show the ignorance of guidelines in situations, where we are not sure, if an unconsious wounded persone is breathing or not. On the contrary, very good knowledge was shown in the area of hemorrhage. The absolute success rate was in the response to the question: " What do we administer to wounded persone with an abdominal trauma ?". The most frequent given obstacles to rendering first aid was the fear of harm and the fear of lack of knowledge.
