Demokratický deficit Evropské unie Evropský parlament v legislativním procesu EU - srovnání s postavením Spolkového sněmu Tato diplomová práce zkoumá demokratický deficit Evropské unie na srovnání postavení Evropského parlamentu v rámci legislativního procesu Evropské unie a Spolkového sněmu v rámci legislativního procesu Německa. Srovnání s německým Spolkovým sněmem jsem si vybral proto, že německý politický systém a legislativní proces se nejvíce ze všech politických systému členských států podobá tomu v Evropské Unii. Účelem práce je pak zjistit, do jaké míry můžeme po posilování Evropského parlamentu v posledních letech stále hovořit o demokratickém deficitu Evropské unie v tom smyslu, že by občané Evropské unie a jimi zvolení zástupci byli vyřazeni z efektivní účasti na přijímání legislativních aktů. Práce je rozdělena na tři části. První část se věnuje souvislosti demokratického deficitu Evropské unie s postavením Evropského parlamentu podle několika nejznámějších autorů zabývajících se tématem evropské integrace Druhá část je věnována legislativnímu procesu v Německu se zaměřením na postavení a roli Spolkového sněmu při jednotlivých typech legislativního procesu, jakožto zákonodárného tělesa, se kterým práce posléze komparuje postavení Evropského parlamentu. The democratic deficit of the European Union The European Parliament in the legislative process of the European Union - in comparison with the position of the Bundestag This thesis examines the democratic deficit of the European Union based on the comparison of the position of the European Parliament in the legislative process of the European Union and the Bundestag in German legislative process. I chose the comparison with the Bundestag because out of all the Member States, the German political system and its legislative process resembles the one of the European Union the most. The purpose of this thesis is to determine whether and to what extent, taking into consideration the strengthening of the European Parliament in recent years, we can still discuss the democratic deficit of the European Union, when the European Union citizens and their elected representatives were excluded from effective participation in the adoption of legislative acts. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part deals with the context of the democratic deficit of the European Union within the role of the European Parliament according to a number of leading authors on the issue of European integration.
