Inovace a změny jsou fenoménem každé doby. V rámci modulu Teorie a praxe školského managementu se práce zabývá řízením konkrétní změny, a to zaváděním školních uniforem do praxe. Teoretická část práce vychází z relevantních odborných pramenů zabývajících se škol- ským managementem, marketingovou strategií, kulturou školy a řízením změny. Je doplněna dostupnými zahraničními zkušenostmi z provedených výzkumů i rešerší mediálního obrazu, který u této problematiky sehrává důležitou roli. Praktická část, výzkum, poskytuje informace a data, které autorka získala metodou rozhovorů s vedením škol, které aktuálně školní unifor- mu zavádějí. Výsledky výzkumu ukázaly, že u žádného z uvedených projektů se nenaplnila původní očekávání. Porozumění příčinám neúspěchů či jen částečných úspěchů projektů je důležitou součástí souhrnu informací pro ředitele škol, kteří zavedení školních uniforem zva- žují. Ze zobecněných výzkumných nálezů, ale i teoretických poznatků vychází soubor zá- kladních doporučení, která jsou obsažena v závěru práce. Innovation and change are phenomenons any time. Within the scope of the Theory and Prac- tice of School Management module, the theses deals with management of a specific change, namely introduction of school uniforms into practice. The theoretical part of the thesis is based on relevant specialized literature on school management, marketing strategy, school culture and change management. It is completed with available foreign experience and con- clusions of surveys and research of media image, which is playing an important role in respect with the issue. The practical part, i.e. research, provides information and data obtained by the author from interviews with management of schools currently introducing school uniforms. The research results show that the original expectations have not been met in any of the pro- jects included. Understanding the cause of this failure, or else, partial success of the projects, constitutes an important part of the information summary designed for school headmasters considering introduction of school uniforms. The generalized research findings combined with theoretical knowledge imply a set of key recommendations introduced in the thesis con- clusion.
