(in English): Feminization of nouns desribing professions and titles became a much debated question after feministic mouvement had started to talk about language androcentrism in public in the seventies. The objective of feminsation is to provide women with social visibility, which regards mainly women occupying important posts and functions. In spite of objections of both sociological and linguistic character, the process made rapid headway over the past few decades and many feminized nouns has become common. (česky) Otázka (ne)přechylování názvů povolání a titulů je celospolečenským tématem od 70. let minulého století, kdy na jazykový androcentrismus začala upozorňovat feministická hnutí. Smysl feminizace spočívá především v zajištění sociální viditelnosti žen, zvláště u žen ve vyšších pozicích. I přes překážky sociologického i lingvistického charakteru a kritiku odpůrců proces feminizace během uplynulých desetiletí značně pokročil a četné přechýlené formy se staly běžnými.
