Cílem této bakalářské práce je popsat vývoj vesnické prózy v druhé polovině 19. století. Svůj výklad opírám o změny zobrazení tématiky stáří v jednotlivých desetiletích. Sleduji nejen literárněhistorický vývoj, ale i existenciální prvky stáří. Tyto pak vykládám za pomoci tezí filozofa Jeana Améryho. Můj výklad se opírá o čtyři stěžejní díla, které tématiku stáří pojednávají. Je to Babička (1855) Boženy Němcové, povídka Na vejminku (70. léta 19. Století) Vítězslava Hálka, Povídka Konec života od Karla Václava Raise a nakonec povídka S nůší od Terézy Novákové. K rozboru přistupuji od zjevných, na první pohled patrných pojmů, které stáří váže a postupuji směrem k jeho existenciální složce, tedy jak chápou čas staří lidé. Z jednotlivých popisů pak vystupuje postupný literárněhistorický vývoj od idylismu až k realismu. The aim of this paper is to describe the evolution of village prose in the second half of the 19th Century, I base my interpretation on the display changes to themes of old age. I watch both literary and historical development, but also the existential elements of old age. These then telling the help of theses philosopher Jean Amery. My interpretation is based on four major works, themes that deal with old age. It is a Babička (1855) by Božena Němcová, the story Na vejminku (70s of the 19th century)by Vítězslav Hálek, the story Konec života Karel Václav Rais and finally the story by Teréza Nováková. The analysis approaching from obvious at first glance, obvious concepts which binds age and progresses toward its existential component, that is how old people perceive time. The descriptions of the individual performs a gradual evolution from a pure literary and historical idylism to realism.
