Doctoral thesis Serbian Folktale "The Golden Apple and Nine Peahens in the Pan-Slavic Context examines a specific story construction AT400+422*+552A (ATU400+302C*) applied on a Serbian folktale in Slavic context. In the introduction of concrete parts typology confronts assigned types from the Catalog of international tale types and types from Slavic catalogs. Thanks to the comparative- typological analysis and due to the focus on specific loci communes of a concrete type, interethnic relations between certain types emerge. This thesis is organized into independent chapters which are built upon a specific type, mainly upon Slavic material which takes account at a non-Slavic type (variant) that have an essential effect on texts which had been analyzed. The result of this analysis is supplemented with an appendix that introduces "common places" for types which had been compared. These types are also demonstrating connections between them and in what form they are preserved. This thesis is not just concerned about the specific type in a narrow sense, but it also situates the type in whole composition of a text. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
