Na základě výzkumu postojů obyvatel pohraničí k Německu a EU provedeného v roce 2005 a výzkumů místních elit v euroregionech (2004) podává příspěvek přehled o rozdílech mezi očekávanými a reálnými důsledky vstupu ČR do EU pro úroveň spolupráce ČR/SRN na lokální a regionální úrovni, s přihlédnutím ke zkušenostem z předchozí vlny rozšíření EU v roce 1995 o Rakousko, Finsko a Švédsko. Based on opinion research of attitudes of borderland population towards Germany and the European Union and research of local elites made in euroregions in 2004 gives the statement overview of diferences between awaited and real consequences joining the EU for intensity of the cooperation obetween the Czech Republic and Germany both on local and regional levels, comparing the situation with previous wave of enlarging the EU by Finnland, Sweden and Austria.
