cze Abstract:
The main objective of this work is to analyse the evolution of mortality from traffic accidents in the European union in the period 1991-2008. In first part is analysed the evolution of changes and differences in mortality from traffic accidents between selected states of European union. The second part of the work deals with a differentiation of selected EU-states by level of standardized mortality rates in conjunction with other socioeconomic indicators. According to the results of cluster analysis the EU countries are divided into four groups and from the each group is selected a country for more detailed analysis of mortality from traffic accidents and road traffic accidents. From the results of the work is evident a reducing of the heterogeneity of mortality from transport accidents in the selected EU states and the decrease of mortality from transport accidents in the whole monitored period.
