Práce zkoumá veřejný život ve městě Hořice v období let 1860 - 1868. Hlavní cíl je především představení práce obecního výboru města a reakce lidí na veřejné události, které za sledované období v rakouské říši proběhly. Mezi tyto hlavní události patří obnovení ústavního života v habsburské monarchii, prusko-rakouská válka, rakousko-uherské vyrovnání, položení základního kamene Národního divadla v Praze a táborové hnutí. The main purpose of this bachelor work is presentation of the activity of local authority and reactions of people on public events which were happened in the Austrian Empire during 1860 to 1868. The main events were the restoration constitutional life in the Austrian Empire, the Austro- Prussian War, the Austro-Hungarian Compromise of 1867, the foundation stone of the National Theatre in Prague and meetings of the people.
