Abstract: This report was prepared during a four months training period in the Institute of Thermomechanics of the Czech Academy of Sciences in the Department of Dynamics and Vibrations. The aim of this work is to create a program within the MATLAB software, which computes the natural frequencies of the vibration of a thin circular cylindrical shell in interaction with a flowing fluid.
