Restaurační pokusy Karla Habsburského v Maďarsku představovaly jeden z posledních pokusů o obnovení "starých pořádků" ve střední Evropě po první světové válce. V době relativního uklidnění poměrů způsobily krizi mezi Maďarskem, nástupnickými státy a státy Dohody a přivedly střední Evropu, hlavně v případě druhého pokusu, na pokraj válečného konfliktu. Práce Návrat krále? je případovou studií s prvky komparace, jejímž cílem je analyzovat zahraničněpolitickou situaci ve vztahu k otázce restaurace Habsburků v Maďarsku a popsat reakci Malé dohody a evropských mocností: Velké Británie, Francie a Itálie. Změny státní formy Maďarska, nejasné definování osoby panovníka a silné legitimistické hnutí vyvolaly v bývalém králi naději na úspěch jeho restauračních pokusů. Zároveň Karel spoléhal také na podporu představitelů Dohody. Proti oběma jeho akcím se ale ostře postavily státy Malé dohody, které vnímaly návrat Habsburků na maďarský trůn jako ohrožení své vlastní suverenity a v případě úspěšné restaurace hrozily vojenským zásahem. Nebezpečí, které restaurace Habsburků v Maďarsku představovala, působilo jako katalyzátor spolupráce Malé dohody a napomohlo jejímu smluvnímu dotvoření. Evropské mocnosti musely v zájmu zachování míru ve střední Evropě zasáhnout a postavily se proti restauraci. Cílem této bakalářské práce... The restoration attempts of Charles Habsburg in Hungary presented one of the last efforts to restore the "former order" in Central Europe after the First World War. In the time of relative pacification the restoration attempts caused crisis among Hungary, successor states and the Entente and brought the middle Europe on the brink of an armed conflict. The bachelor work The Return of the King? is a case study with elements of comparison, the goal of which is to analyse the attitude of foreign policy towards the question of the Habsburg restoration in Hungary and to describe reaction of the Little Entente and the Allies: the United Kingdom, France and Italy. The changes of the system of government in Hungary made the ex-king hope that his attempts could succeed. Charles simultaneously hoped in a support of the Entente. However the restoration attempts were sharply opposed by the states of the Little Entente, which believed the return of the Habsburg dynasty on the throne of Hungary would be a threat to their own sovereignty. In case of a successful restoration the Little Entente threatened with a military intervention. The danger of the restoration attempts catalysed cooperation of the Little Entente and helped the completion of the alliance. The Allies had to intervene in order to maintain peace in central...
