1 Abstrakt: Autorka se ve své disertační práci zaměřila na fenomén "pečujících otců", avšak nikoli primárně s cílem osvětlit proměnu podoby otcovství, nýbrž s cílem prozkoumat, zda přímá a celodenní péče o dítě ze strany otce vede k eliminaci genderových nerovností v rodině jak během období, kdy se otec zapojuje do péče o dítě jako primární pečovatel anebo jako spolupečovatel, tak i bezprostředně v období následujícím, kdy se navrací zpět na trh práce. Toto téma je tématem méně prozkoumaným v naší sociologii a vědách příbuzných než téma první. Participace otců na péči a výchově dítěte je přitom považována za jeden ze způsobů, jak narušit kulturní a sociální nerovnost mezi gendery. Autorka si v předkládané práci klade za cíl zodpovědět, zda v rodinách, kde se otcové zapojují do péče o děti v rané fázi jejich života, dochází k narušení genderových nerovností v rodině nebo zda se spíše jedná jen o modifikaci daného statusu quo. Klade si také otázku, kdy k nastolení genderové rovnosti v rodinách dochází (či může dojít) a jaký je vztah mezi genderovou rovností v rodině a genderovou nerovností v širší společnosti. Studie vychází ze speciálně realizovaného kvalitativního výzkumu uskutečněného v roce 2006 a v roce 2009 prostřednictvím polostrukturovaných rozhovorů. Her primary goal was not to explicate the transformations of fatherhood but to explore whether direct and daylong childcare provided by the father leads to the elimination of gender inequalities in the family during the period when the father is involved in childcare as the primary care provider or co-provider as well as during the immediately following period when he returns to the labour market. This issue is a less explored one in Czech sociology and related sciences than the first topic even as fathers' participation in childcare and child education is considered to be one of the ways to challenge cultural and social inequalities between genders. In her work the author aims to answer the question whether in families where fathers are involved in childcare in the early stages of the child's life, gender inequalities in the family are disrupted or whether this situation constitutions a mere modification of the status quo. She asks when gender equality in families occurs (or can occur) and what the relationship is between gender equality in the family and gender inequality in larger society.
