Abstract: This overview contribution uses the basic notions of differentialy geometry in the theory of finite deformations, what enables in a natural way to assighn to most strain tensors corresponding stress tensors and objective timederivatives and simply classify these triplets.
Keywords: finite deformations, differential geometry.
