Tato práce pojednává o sochařských náhrobcích na Olšanských hřbitovech. Bližší časové určení vymezuje éra sochaře Josefa Václava Myslbeka, jedná se tedy o závěr 19. století a první roky století nadcházejícího. Úvodní kapitola seznamuje s vývojem, jaký prodělala instituce hřbitova od středověku po 19. století, jehož zlomovým bodem byly josefínské reformy. Následuje vývoj Olšanských hřbitovů od dob, kdy zde bývalo morové pohřebiště, po současnost. Jedna pasáž je speciálně věnována fenoménu olšanského umění. Jsou zde vzpomenuti sochaři a architekti od Ignáce Platzera a Františka Xavera Lederera, přes Emanuela Maxe, Bohuslava Schnircha či i Josefa Mařatku, po Olbrama. Následující část se již věnuje osobě Josefa Václava Myslbeka, jeho životu, rodině, stěžejním dílům a především jeho působením na poli sepulkrálního umění. Zmiňují se zde veškeré jeho práce z této oblasti, specifický důraz je pak vyvinut na prostředí Olšanských hřbitovů jako kulisu jeho soch. To se ale již dostáváme ke stěžejní části a to náhrobním pomníkům význačných osobností: Karla Sladkovského, Julia Grégra, Josefa Baráka, Jindřicha Fügnera a Miroslava Tyrše. Tyto kapitoly dokumentují počáteční ideu náhrobku, jejich vznik, realizaci, ale také slavnostní odhalení. Pomníky jsou vždy detailně popsány a vyloženy z ikonografického hlediska. Jelikož... This dissertation deals with sculptural headstones at Olšany cemetery. Time definition determinate age of the sculptor Josef Václav Myslbek, the end of the 19th century and first years of the next century are concerned. Introductory chapter informs about cemetery evolution from middle ages to the 19th century with reformations by emperor Josef II. as a important turning point. Part containing evolution of Olšany cemetery from the times, when there was plaguey burial ground, to present follows. One passage is especially devoted to the phenomenon of Olšany arts. Sculptors Ignác Platzer, František Xaver Lederer, Emanuel Max, Bohuslav Schnirch, Josef Mařatka and Olbram Zoubek are mentioned. Following part is finally dedicated to the person of Josef Václav Myslbek, his life, family, principal works and mainly his activity at course of sepulchral art. Whole his works from this field are listed. Extra accent is put on the setting of Olšany cemetery as a coulisse of his plastics. Now we are getting to the cardinal part of the dissertation, sepulchral monuments of eminent personages: Karel Sladkovský, Julius Grégr, Josef Barák, Jidnřich Fügner and Miroslav Tyrš.
