4 ANOTACE Předmětem této bakalářské práce je popis a prezentace tvorby Františka Tichého se zaměřením na 40. léta 20. století v kontextu jeho malířských cyklů té doby, ve kterých se rovněž odráží zvyšující se technická vyspělost jeho umění a postupný duchovní vývoj v přístupu k zpracování dané tematiky. Pro základní rozdělení tvorby Františka Tichého pro účely této práce je zvolen princip doby vzniku díla. Pro rozdělení tvorby do jednotlivých kapitol a oddílů je použito dělení na umění volné a užité a také dělení podle použitých výtvarných technik. Úvod práce se krátce věnuje životu a dílu Františka Tichého, zejména základům jeho malířského školení a význačným životním mezníkům v jeho životě, které měly velký vliv na jeho tvorbu. Neopomenutelnou součástí umělcových životních událostí ve 40. letech byla jeho pedagogická činnost na Vysoké škole uměleckoprůmyslové. Se změnou politického systému a se změnou společenských a lidských hodnot a pravidel chování přišly i změny na poli uměleckém. Protože se Tichý svojí tvorbou neslučoval s principy socialistického realismu stal se rázem politicky nežádoucí. Ze školy byl vyloučen. Další kapitoly jsou již věnovány více jeho tvorbě, která je rozdělená na tvorbu malířskou, grafickou, na knižní ilustrace, užité umění a scénografii. František Tichý byl celoživotně v zajetí... 5 ANNOTATION The subject of this bachelor work is the description and presentation of the works of Mr. Frantisek Tichy. The aim is to focus on his works in the 1940s in the context of his peak of technical abilities and the development of spirituality in his works. For the purpose of organization, Mr. Tichy's artwork is classified by the date of the creation and organized accordingly. It is also divided into individual chapters in accordance to the techniques being used. The introduction of this work focuses mostly on the life of Mr. Frantisek Tichy. In particular, much is focused on his education in painting and the influential events in his life that have had an impact on his artwork. Undoubtedly, a large role in his artwork was thanks to his pedagogical role at the Fine Arts University in the 1940s. Much of his artwork also reflected the political situation and social changes of the time. Mr. Tichy did not adapt his works in favour of the principles of social realism and thus also was discharged from the university. The following chapters are devoted to his actual artwork. His artwork is clearly defined into many categories such as: painting, graphics, illustrations, practical artwork and theatre.
