Summary: The thesis comprises from the introduction and five main parts: three of them are published papers, the rest two are manuscripts prepared for submitting to the scientific journals. The first two are published phylogenetic studies of the cichlasomatine cichlids based on (1) molecular characters, and (2) both morphological and molecular data with the description of a new genus Andinoacara. The third (3) is the already published description of the new species Andinoacara stalsbergi from Peru combining both morphological and phylogenetic approaches and including the detailed phylogeny of the genus Andinoacara. The next unpublished manuscript (4) is the more detailed comprehensive phylogeography of the two non-relative genera (including Andinoacaras) of the trans-Andean cichlids. Including all valid species from the majority of their distribution areas it was reconstructed the ancestral area of both genera in the Choco region, Colombia, and revealed the directions of their distribution spreading. The last (5) unpublished manuscript is the phylogeographical study of the cichlid genus Serranochromis from the headwaters of the totally unknown Central Angola. It showed several evidences of the faunal exchange among the adjacent river systems. Lastly, the thesis is supplemented by several appendices... Souhrn P edkládaná práce sestává z úvodu a p ti samostatných v deckých prací: t i z nich tvo í již publikované lánky, zbývající dv studie jsou p edstaveny ve form manuskript p ipravených k publikaci ve v deckých asopisech. První dv studie se zabývají fylogenezí neotropických cichlid tribu Cichlasomatini a jsou založeny (1) na molekulárních datech, a dále (2) na kombinaci morfologických a molekulárních dat. Výsledky t chto fylogenetických analýz posloužily jako podklad pro popis nového rodu jihoamerických cichlid Andinoacara. Následující (3) publikovaný popis nového druhu Andinoacara stalsbergi vyskytujícího se v Peru obsahuje krom morfologické diagnózy druhu také detailn jší molekulární fylogenezi (osm gen ) zam enou na rod Andinoacara. Jako tvrtá studie v po adí následuje nepublikovaný manuskript (4) obsahující fylogeografickou studii dvou nep íbuzných rod cichlid (jeden z nich je Andinoacara) z trans- Andské oblasti. Na základ analýzy rozsáhlého data setu zahrnující všechny platné druhy z kompletního areálu rozší ení byl zrekonstruován pravd podobný areál p edk dn šních cichlid v oblasti (tzv. Ancestral area). U obou rod studovaných nezávisle se prokázalo, že p vodní areál velmi pravd podobn zahrnoval oblast Choco v západní Kolumbii, a biogeografická analýza dále navrhla pravd podobné sm ry ší ení cichlid...
