Práce nemá ambice směřovat ke konkrétním závěrům a konečným řešením (které by byly přinejmenším stejně tak sporné a vratké, jako podchycení a interpretace dílčích východisek, o které se opírá), ale má přinést jiný pohled na vybranou skupinu živočichů, našich vzdálených předků a současného předmětu zájmu volnočasového, kulturního, ekonomického a kulinářského charakteru. Pohled skrze prizma tendencí, specifik a nepsaných pravidel lingvistiky, pod vlivem kulturní typičnosti a identifikace. Spojení dvou naprosto odlišných světů, přímo protikladů. Tichého a poklidného světa ryb, jenž si zachoval hladinou zhmotněné prizma průhledné stěny, které ho odděluje od kulturou a antropocentrismem zasaženého světa "těch", kteří se řadí na vrchol pomyslné pyramidy. Práce je rozdělena do tří částí: Úvodní teoretické předpoklady, vlastní etymologický výzkum a příloha, která interpretuje ryby z pohledu umění, folklóru, astronomie a lidové moudrosti. The thesis doesn't have the tendency or ambition to reach the particular conclusion or final solution (which would be at least as debatable as the construction that it is based on). But it should bring different approach and focus on selected animal genus (our distant ancestors), accepting them as a contemporary cultural, economical and culinary interest. Insight trough the prism of tendency, specifics and unwritten rules of linguistics, under the thumb of cultural representativneness and its identification. The contact of two distinc worlds, antithesises. The silent and peaceful world of fishes, that has retained the objectified prism of lucent wall under the water level, which singularises it from antropocentric world of "those", who think to stand on the top of imaginary pyramid. The work is divided in three parts: Introductory principles, etymological research and addendum, which interprets fish from the art, astronomy, folklore, and booklore point of view.
