Abstract: Cube-corner retro-reflectors suffer from an unbereable influence on polarization of the incoming light. To conserve the polarization state upon reflection, the phase difference between both polarization components due to the total reflection must be compensated. If no loss of energy or additional correcting retardation elements are desirable, non-absorbing interference multilayers deposited on each face of the cube-corner can cancel the unwanted polarization effects. It is shown that this method can be used in two-color interferometry to compensate phase difference at both wavelengths simultaneously. Spectral dependence and sensitivity to the change in the angle of incidence and to the production deviations are discussed.
