Main focus is concentrated on detection of main characteristics and mutual attitudes of Japanese superiors and their Czech employees in Japanese companies in Czech Republic. Intercultural communication and important intercultural theories in the working environment are introduced in the theoretical part. Approach is based on one not very known theory of Japanese sociologist Esyun Hamaguchi. Introduced are also Czech- Japanese cultural standards, typical ways of Japanese Human Resources Management and possibilities and problems of its transfer to foreign country. This new information is gathered from foreign literature and serves as a resource for the empirical part. In the empirical part are analyzed results of the research that took part in nine Japanese companies in Czech Republic. As a research method is used Hofstede's questionnaire VSM 94, with added questions focused on Czech-Japanese topics. Added are also interesting questions from Hamaguchi's questionnaire. A special questionnaire for measuring of the mutual attitudes was constructed, based on the principle of bipolar adjectives.
