Tato diplomová práce se zabývá pozicí Evropské komise ve vztahu k Radě a Evropskému parlamentu, zejména její rolí v rámci procedury spolurozhodování po prvním východním rozšíření v roce 2004. V práci jsou rozebrány poznatky z dosavadních výzkumů, jakož i zpracovaní vlastní kvantitativní analýzy komparativní metodou. Cílem práce je komplexně zhodnotit úlohu Evropské komise v procesu unijního rozhodovacího procesu i procesu tvorby politiky. The thesis analyses relations between the Commission, the Council and the European Parliament, providing a comprehensive assessment of the legislative co-decision procedure as well as raising questions about the Commission's new position.
