Resumé Přestože se role ženy starověku jeví jako druhotná, nebo dokonce marginální, hrály ženy důležitou roli v dějinách všech Východních národů. Důležitou roli a to jak v kladném, tak v záporném významu. Ženy byly tiché, vykosťované, jednalo se s nimi jako s levnou pracovní silou, byly odsunuté do pozice hospodyně, matky. Mezi nimi ale byly významné osobnosti: manželky králů, vysokých úředníků, patriarchů a proroků, které díky svému postavení měly velký vliv. Nechyběly tam ani ženy věrné, odevzdané úplně manželovi, dětem a rodině, ale také nevěrné manželky, ženy hříšné, či despotické královny, svádějící na špatnou cestu srdce králů a národy. Prakticky role a postavení žen zaleželo na povahových vlastnostech a síle jejich osobností. Mnohokrát byla záchrana Izraele způsobená ženou (Ester, Júdit) a její čin byl stavěn na obdiv také mužskému světu. Duch Jahve sestupoval na některé s nich, přeměnil je stejně jako některé muže v proroky a ukazoval zároveň, že pohlaví není hranicí pro všemohoucího Boha. Tak bylo v případě Miriám (Ex 15,20-21), Debory, Jael (Sd 4,4-5,31) a také Chludy (Pa 22,14-22), které se angažovaly ve věcech národa a jeho Boha. Oproti dnešním ženám, ženy starověku uměly vnímat svoje ženství jako dar a svou roli v rodině jako posvátné poslání. Proto mohly být šťastné, žít s pocitem naplnění a... Anglická anotace The focus of my baccalaureate thesis is an issue of marriage and family in Israel in the times described in the Old Testament. The role of a woman-mother was very special in that era. My work includes also descriptions of roles for women from the neighboring countries. In my opinion, women fulfill a very special and irreplaceable role in every culture throughout the centuries. Mature woman through her love and honesty creates a home filled with warmth and safety. In our times false feminism proclaims that women have the same rights as men, but robes them from their femininity and motherhood. I would like to point out that even though women in the Old Testament were assigned the second place they were happy, interested in life and had respect among the members of society. Therefore, I would like to present women form different groups of society starting with the slaves and ending with the queen. The interest in their religious practices, approach to raising a family and teaching the children will be a focus of my presentation.
