Diplomová práce s názvem Cesta za hodnotami aneb ochrana přírody víc než v popisu práce se věnuje kvalitativnímu výzkumu vybraných ochránců přírody, kteří se mimo své zaměstnání na správě chráněné krajinné oblasti (CHKO) věnují ochraně přírody ještě prací v nevládních neziskových organizacích. Cílem práce je zjistit, co je motivem této "dvojí" ochrany přírody a čím se ochrana přírody odlišuje od jiných povolání. Ve výzkumu uplatňuji metodu biografického výzkumu formou osobních rozhovorů. Získaná data analyzuji pomocí metody zakotvené teorie. Pro sběr dat používám metodu triangulace, kde kombinuji náhodný výběr s metodou sněhové koule. Motivace ochránců přírody k "dvojí" ochraně přírody vychází především z jejich celoživotního osobního kontaktu s přírodou a z jejich zájmu o ni. Ochrana přírody je jejich povoláním a zároveň koníčkem. Dalším důvodem, proč pracují pro přírodu také v neziskových organizacích, je postupné navyšování administrativních činností na správách CHKO, které snižuje počet hodin, jež mohou strávit v terénu. Od toho se odvíjí také charakter práce, kterou vykonávají v neziskových organizacích. Většinou se jedná o manuální práci v terénu. Povolání ochrany přírody se pak vyznačuje přítomností osobního nasazení, menším zájmem o výši finančního příjmu a dále je spoluurčováno povahou a předmětem... Diploma thesis on the Journey for values or the protection of nature beyond the frame of work deals with qualitative research made on small group of conservationists, who beside their regular employment in Administrations of Protected Landscape Areas (PLA), protect nature also in the frame of non-governmental organisation. The aim of the thesis is to uncover the motif of "doubled" protection of nature and to find out, how nature protection differs from other occupancies. I apply the biographical method of research in the form of personal interview. Revealed data are analysed according to the grounded theory method. For data collection I use triangulation method. Concerning the sampling methods, I combine the random sampling and the snowball sampling technique. Motivation of conservationists to perform this "doubled" protection of nature arises mainly from the lifelong personal relationship, and contact with nature and also from their interest in it. The protection of nature is at the same time their hobby. Another reason for respondents' work in non-governmental organisation lies in continuing increase in administrative type of agenda in the Administrations, which decreases the amount of possible time spent in the field. The nature of work executed in the nongovernmental organisation is just in the field...
