Abstract: Název práce: Vývoj používání dopingu v cyklistice od počátku po současnost Title: History and development ofdoping in cycling from the beginning until now Aim of this work: To gather available information about the historical development of doping in cycling and to focus on the start and development ofthis present phenomenon and history ofhuman beings by using background research ofmainly foreign literature. Another aim is to map the development of doping in cycling chronologically from the beginning until now. Method: The chronological method is used to record the development of doping in cycling from its beginning. The final aim of this method is to record the whole issue in its main features to enable us to understand its structure and tendency ofdevelopment. Outcomes: To clarify and to analyse the development of doping in cycling from its beginning and to create a detailed picture of the role and the meaning of this phenomenon ofthe past century and until now.
