Tato práce se zabývá výtvarnou výchovou, její metodikou a výtvarnými technikami u osob s lehkým a středním stupněm mentálního postižení. Snažím se zde vytvořit určitý návod pro osoby pracující s lidmi s mentálním postižením. Jak při výtvarné činnosti s klienty postupovat a pracovat, zejména u těch jedinců s mentálním postižením, kteří se s výtvarnou činností teprve seznamují. Definuji zde, kdo je to osoba s mentálním postižením, jaká je etiologie a klasifikace mentální retardace. Dále popisuji, kčemu výtvarná činnost u osob s mentálním postižením přispívá. Např. rozvíjí jejich myšlení, zlepšuje hrubou i jemnou motoriku, uvolňuje křeče ruky, posiluje multisenzorické vnímání jedince. Klient je schopen vyjádřit se, zvyšuje se jeho sebevědomí. Výtvarná činnost také pomáhá zaměstnat osoby s mentálním postižením. Učí je sebeovládání, upevňuje správné pracovní návyky, správný úchop tužky, křídy či štětce. Určité výtvarné techniky umožňují také procvičit dýchací ústrojí. Ve třech zařízeních pro osoby s mentálním postižením ověřuji, zda mnou vybrané výtvarné techniky jsou osoby s lehkým a středně těžkým mentálním postižením schopni zvládnout sami či za malé pomoci asistenta, vychovatele či učitele. Mimo různých výtvarných technik, uvádím i příklady mého vedení výtvarné činnosti a popis průběhu výtvarného tvoření od... This work deals with art, its methods and techniques for people with mild and moderate levels of learning disability. It also might be taken as a guide for people who are interested in the artwork of people with a learning disability. I am trying to explain how man should act and work with people with a learning disability, especially with these, who have just started to familiarize with the art. You can find here a definition of a person with a learning disability, what is the causation of learning disability and its classification. I am also describing a reason, why is the art so great and important in the lives of people with a learning disability. It helps them to develop their thought, to improve their fine and gross motor skills, to relieve the spasm in the hand or to strengthen multisensorial perception of the individual. The client is able to express himself better, his self-confidence is increasing. Art also helps to engage people with a learning disability. Through the art the clients learn self-control, confirm their correct work habits or improve the proper grip of a pencil, chock or paintbrush. Some of the art techniques allow people to practise deep- breathing.
