cze Abstract:
Důsledky ruské přítomnosti pak autor nachází v proměnách prostorového rozložení města a zkoumá vztah ruské přítomnosti a lokální identity místních obyvatel. Zdrojem poznatků je interpretace devíti kvalitativních rozhovorů s obyvateli Karlových Varů.The thesis is a case study of Russian presence in Karlovy Vary from its inhabitants' point of view. This presence is described from the standpoint of the inhabitants' perception and their attitudes towards the Russians. Causes of Russians' coming to Karlovy Vary are also inquired and consequences of the Russian presence are reflected too. The causes are sought in the town history, especially in context of new colonization of border region after 1945. Present time is described in terms of statistical data regarding especially migration and a count of foreginers. The consequences of the Russian presence are found in changes in spatial zoning of the town and relation between of the Russian presence and local identity of local inhabitants. Interpretation of nine qualitative interviews is the source of evidence for this.
