Diplomová práce "Péče o ventilovaného spinálního pacienta v ČR" se zabývá problematikou vysoké léze krční míchy s obrnou bránice. Obecně uvádí klinické projevy míšního poranění, klasifLkaci míšních tézí a statistické údaje týkající se incidence, prevalence a etiologie. Podrobněji se věnuje respirační problematice. Obsahuje přehled nejčastějších respiračních komplikaci u ventilodependentních kvadruplegických pacientů a infomlUje o možnostech respirační fyzioterapie. V praktické části přináší první popis české populace pentaplegiků. Fonnou kazuistik pacientů přibližuje zdravotní stav a životní podmínky osob s vysokou míšní lézÍ a nutností umělé plicní ventilace.
