Diplomová práce se zabývá krajinnými proměnami Litomyšlska v blízkosti spádového centra regionu od konce 18. století do roku 1918; v době kdy probíhal proces industrializace a urbanizace. První část se zaměřuje na stručné seznámení s historií města Litomyšle a jednotlivých obcí spadajících do zvoleného regionu. Druhá část mapuje proměny krajiny především z hlediska krajinných prvků zastoupených zelení, vodstvem, sídly, komunikacemi a drobnými krajinnými prvky. Problematika klimatu a reliéfu je pro svoji konstantnost zmíněna jen okrajově. Jednotlivá časová období (konec 18. století, první polovina 19. století a druhá polovina 19. století - 1918) jsou popsána převážně na základě vojenských mapování. Graduation Thesis is concemed with landscape changes of Litomyšl area in the period of the end of 18th century to 1918; in the time of industria1ization and urbanization process. The first part focuses on a brief introduction of the history of Litomyšl and vil1ages in the chosen region. The second part surveys 1andscape changes from the view of1andscape components such as botany, waters, 1iving p1aces, routes and smal1 1andscape components. C1imate and topography issues are mentioned on1y marginal1y. Each time period (the end of 18th century, the frrst ha1f of the 19th century and the second ha1f of 19th century to 1918) is described main1y according to militarymaps.
