Cíle předkládané disertační práce lze rozdělit do dvou tématick)7ch celků. Předmětem práce je v první řadě analýza funkčních faktorů obrozeneckého procesu tak, jak se prqjevovaly v makedonském a bulharském prostředí. Na straně druhé se práce snaží zodpovědět otázku, jak se tyto faktory podílej í na utváření dvou národních narativů - bulharského a makedonského. Stěžejním problémem je tedy proces formování makedonské národní a kulturní identity. Pro tuto analýzu jsou klíčovými faktory následující sociokulturní kategorie: 1) toponyma / etnonyma, jejich symbolické významy a modely obrozenecké identifikace, 2) jazyková otázka a problém formování modenlích spisovných jazyků, 3) religiozita a církevní otázka, 4) úloha lidové slovesnosti a folkloru na národotvorném procesu a 5) rozvoj autorské (originální) literatury. Konlplex těchto kategorií utváří "národní příběh", jehož znění je však v makedonsko-bulharském kontextu komplikováno řadou dalších problémů. Makedonská identita se dotváří teprve v průběhu 40. let 20. století, a proto se makedonská historiografie setkává se základními problémy, jak interpretovat "makedonské 19. století". Předkládaná práce pracuje s předpokladem, že v Makedonii probíhá bulharské národní obrození, které však z objektivních příčin nelnohlo být dokončeno Uedná se zejména o situaci po... The aims of the submitted thesis can be divided in two major topics. Firstly, the subject of the work is to analyse the functional factors of the revival process as they were developing in the Macedonian and Bulgarian environment. On the other hand, the work is trying to ans\ver the question of how those factors participated in the creation of the two national narratives - the Bulgarian and Macedonian ones. The essential problem is thus the formation process of the Macedonian national and cultural identity. For the analysis itself, the following socio-cultural categories appear to be the key factors: 1) toponyms / ethnonyms, their symbolical meanings and modes of revival identifications, 2) the language question and the problem of forming n10dern literary languages, 3) religiosity and the ecclesiastic question, 4) the role of folk literature in the nation-forming process and 5) the development of author's (original) literature. The SUlTI of these categories creates the the "national history", the wording of which is complicated by numerous different factors in the Macedonian - Bulgarian context. The Macedonian identity is finally created in the 1940's. That is why Macedonian historiography faces basic problems in the interpetation of the "Macedonian 19th century".
