Souhrn U hospitalizovaných geriatrických pacientů jsou malnutrice a karenční stavy velkým problémem, který je i přes svoji závažnost na pokraji zájmu. Je nutné zajistit, aby při pobytu v nemocnici nedocházelo ke zhoršování nutričního deficitu, a tím ke zvyšování rizika komplikací léčby a často i ohrožení pacienta na životě. Adekvátní dietní opatření nebo nutriční podpora mohou těmto problémům zabránit. Cílem této studie bylo zhodnocení, v jakém nutričním stavu přicházejí pacienti vyššího věku k hospitalizaci, jaký měl pobyt v nemocnici a eventuelní nutriční podpora vliv na změnu nutričních parametrů a karencí vitamínů. Sledovali jsme unikátní skupinu pacientů ve věku 80 let a starších hospitalizovaných na standardním oddělení Kliniky gerontologické a metabolické Fakultní nemocnice v Hradci Králové. Během studie jsme sledovali přibližně 70 parametrů anamnestických, antropometrických a laboratorních, které jsme stanovovali v den přijetí pacienta a pak vždy s týdenním odstupem. Získané hodnoty byly podrobeny statistické analýze. Vyhodnocovali jsme vstupní hodnoty sledovaných parametrů, které ukazují, v jakém stavu přichází geriatrický pacient do nemocnice. Zaměřili jsme se na vztah mezi pozitivními a negativními markery zánětu a mezi Mini-Nutritional Assessment, antropometrií a laboratorními nutričními... In hospitalized geriatric patients, malnutrition and deficiency states present a serious problem, which, in spite of its seriousness is at the margin of interest. It is necessary to ensure that hospitalization will not deteriorate nutritional deficit, and thus it will not increase the risk of complications of treatment and will not endanger the patient's life. Adequate dietary measures or nutrition support can prevent these problems. The present study aimed to evaluate the nutritional state of the elderly patients admitted to hospital and the effects of hospitalization and possible nutritional support on the changes in nutritional parameters and vitamin deficiency. A unique group of patients aged 80 years and older hospitalized at the standard ward of the Department of Gerontology and Metabolic Care, Faculty Hospital in Hradec Kralove, was studied. In the course of the study, approximately 70 anamnestic, anthropometric and laboratory parameters were examined, which were determined on the day of patients' admittance and then always in week's intervals.
