Abstract: This master's thesis aims to describe the explicit influences of Fridrich Hegel's thought on Emmanuel Lévinas, considering particularly the concept of subjectivity. By an analysis of Hegelian and Cartesian motives in Lévinas' thought, this thesis allows us to grasp the complete structure of Lévinas' concept of subjectitivy in the perspective of modern metaphisical tradition where Lévinas unquestionably belongs.
