Cílem diplomové práce je rekonstruovat svébytný pohled českého sedláka Františka Jana Vaváka na dobu panování a reformy císařovny Marie Terezie, které významně zasáhly život všech společenských vrstev a zároveň rekonstruovat některé prvky myšlenkového světa druhé poloviny 18. století. Hlavní pramennou základnou jsou Vavákovy Paměti z let 1770 - 1780 a jejich následná podrobná analýza. Diplomová práce sleduje ohlas Vavákovy osobnosti na význačné politické změny a události doby tereziánské, a to především na významné zásahy do církevního života, nevolnické povstání a vyhlášení robotních úprav, jakožto důsledku selských bouří. Obecně se práce snaží přiblížit Vavákovy postoje ve světě náboženském a selském v období posledních let vlády císařovny Marie Terezie. This master's thesis introduces the Bohemian peasant František Jan Vavák and aims to reconstruct his unique views of the significant events and political changes ocured within the reign of the Queen and Empress Marie Terezie, in particular the resulting reforms she introduced. It also focuses on reconstructing the key elements of the mentality of the second half of the 18th century. It is based on a detailed analysis of Vavák's Memoirs (1770 - 1780).
