cze Abstract:
Durkheim zastával názor, že míra sebevražednosti má v období válek oproti období míru tendenci klesat, a to kvůli zvýšené politické integraci společnosti, kterou válka produkuje. Durheim maintained that during wartime the suicide rates tend to be lower than in more peaceful times and that this is due to higher political integration of the society produced by wars. This idea has been studied by various sociologists in order to confirm or refuse this idea on the basis of individuallevel data research on suicide in different countries at different times. Some studies have found support for the idea, while other have not. Investigating these studies - their results as well as their methodology - brings up valuable information about the crucial points of conducting a research of this domain.
