Se zvyšováním množství žen na vysokých pracovních postech si stále více z nich začíná uvědomovat zásah do jejich kariéry, který jim způsobí mateřství (Höhne, 2010). Ukazuje se tedy mimo jiné i důležitost a význam mimorodinné péče, která nahrazuje péči v rodině. Situaci s nedostatkem míst v zařízeních předškolní péče se snaží řešit zákon č. 247/2014 Sb., o poskytování služby péče o dítě v dětské skupině a o změně souvisejících zákonů (dále jen zákon o dětských skupinách). Tato práce se zabývá zhodnocením situace před zavedením zákona o dětských skupinách a jeho důsledcích, které je možné zatím ze situace vyvodit. Cílem práce je posoudit vliv zákona o dětských skupinách na nabídku denní péče o děti, a jestli je tato nabídka dostatečná. Tohoto cíle je dosaženo pomocí analýzy primárních i sekundárních dat sesbíraných z vlastního výzkumu a dat z veřejně dostupných zdrojů. Práce dochází k závěru, že zákon neměl prozatím na zvýšení nabídky nijak zásadní dopad. A jestli institut dětských skupin zůstane stále využívaný, ukáže až situace po snížení příspěvků z evropských fondů. As more women work on hire positions, they start realizing the impact of maternity to their career (Höhne, 2010). To satisfy their needs high supply of pre-school education and its variability and flexibility is needed. Act no. 247/2014 Coll. is trying to react to the situation of inadequate supply. The main aim of this work is to compare situation before and after this law and its consequences as far we can evaluate now. Using primary and secondary data thesis will state if there is scale of those services wide enough and if there is additional need to create more places for pre-school education and if there are changes in supply caused by the law. Conclusion is, that creation of childrens group, which were created because of this law, didnt have such a big impact on supply of pre-school education. Moreover, many of them exists only because of funding from EU.
