Abstrakt: This thesis focuses on revealed comparative advantage and its calculation for the automotive sector and selected subsectors of the Czech Republic. Hungary was a part of the investigation as well, and there are used its data mainly for a comparison with the Czech Republic. The thesis uses three indices which are Balassa, Vollrath, and Lafay index. Each of the three indices is different, and uses different data as well. Balassa index uses only export data, while Vollrath and Lafay indices use export and import data. The research is done from global point of view, as well as from the Visegrad group point of view, and also with comparison of the Czech Republic with Hungary.
