Abstract: The experimental study of non-Newtonian film flows along an inclined plate is presented. The results obtained demonstrate the effects of fluid elasticity and shear thinning on the flow stability and the wave characteristics. Elasticity driven instabilities observable at low inclination angles and low flow rates is discussed.
