Carassius auratus v oblasti dolního toku Dyje vytvořil stabilní a velmi početné populace. Ve zkoumaném odstaveném říčním rameni dosáhla početnost jedinců větších než l00 mm početnosti 5,6 tisíc kusů a biomasy 939 kg na 1 ha vodní plochy. V současné době se mění sexuální a ploidní charakter tamních populací. Vedle původních triploidních samic se objevili i diploidní samci a samice. The species Carassius auratus established stable and numerous populations in the area of lower reach of the Dyje River. One cut river arm was studied in this area. Number of individuals longer then 100 mm reached 5.6 thousand while biomass was 939 kg per 1 ha of water area. At present changes in sex and ploidy are in progress within local population. Besides 3n females occurred originally, 2n males and females were found.
