Příspěvek se zabývá problémem vývoje profesní aktivity žen v 19. a na počátku 20. století v českých zemích a postojem české společnosti k této otázce. Zároveň se pokouší podat základní přehled domácí produkce k danému tématu a upozornit na možnosti využitelnosti pramenů jako kupř. různé přehledy zaměstnanců, soupisy obyvatel provedených při sčítání apod. The study deals with the development of professional activity of woman in the 19th and the early 20th century in Bohemia and Moravia and with the attitude of Czech society to this phenomenon. The author also gives an overview of the domestic production related to this topic and shows some available sources of information that can be used for research, such as lists of staff, census results, etc.
