Studie analyzuje dějiny národopisu především skrze institucionální základnu, tj. univerzity, akademické ústavy a muzea v 50. a 60. letech 20. století. Součástí práce je i obsahová analýza hlavních národopisných periodik, která v této době vycházela. The study analysis the history of the ethnography branch first on the Czech universities and academic institutions in the beginning of communist time in Czechoslovakia. The article is complete by analysis of the main ethnographic journals.
