Sbírky mikroorganismů, včetně řas usnadňují experimentální práci i výuku neboť dodávají přesně determinované a čisté kmeny žádaných organismů kdykoli. V celkem asi 50ti řasových sbírkách po světě je cca. 7 000 kmenů sinic a řas. Informaci o hledaném kmenu lze nejsnáze získat ve světové databázi na adrese Světové federace sbírek mikroorganismů: http://wdcm.nig.ac.jp/ Culture collections, including algal, facilitate experiments and teaching by a speedy delivery of determined and pure cultures of required strains. There are about 7 000 strains in ca 50 algal collection over the world. The most easy body of information about some strains is in world dbase of World Federation of Culture Collections of Microorganisms : http://wdcm.nig.ac.jp/
