This bachelor thesis deals with the structural design of the wrist prosthesis allowing positionability and lock and subsequent implementation of a functional prototype. The structural design is made to be innovative. With respect to the research, the range of movement and the number of positions of the locking mechanism are selected to ensure the functionality of the prosthetic wrist. The size of wrist prosthesis is designed for an adult male hand. For the structural design Autodesk Inventor Proffesional 2012 was used. Drawings were prepared using AutoCAD Mechanical 2012. Individual components of the prototype are made of ABS plastic, using rapid prototyping technology, or steel machining blanks.
