[cze][eng] Tato práce analyzuje závislost mezi ekonomickými veličinami a úspěšností na letních olympijských hrách v letech 1996 až 2012. Tématem je zajímavý fenomén vlivu síly ekonomiky na sportovní úspěchy. Práce analyzuje, jestli se jedná o reálnou korelaci mezi HDP a pořadím národů na olympijských hrách, nebo jde o pouhou náhodu. Stejnou analýzu pak provádí i u populace a HDP na obyvatele a zkoumá, který z těchto faktoru má na olympijskou úspěšnost největší vliv. Téma je vzhledem k nadcházející letní olympiádě v Riu de Janeiro 2016 velmi aktuální.This paper analyzes the relationship between economic variables and the success at the Olympic Games between 1996 and 2012. The topic is an interesting phenomenon of impact of the force of the economy to sports achievements. The thesis analyzes whether it is a real correlation between GDP and rankings of nations at the Olympics, or is it a mere coincidence. Then performs the same analysis as well as the population and GDP per capita and examines which of these factors have the greatest impact on Olympic success. The topic is due to the upcoming Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 very actual.
