The industrial production of Vertical Cavity Surface Emittíng Laser (VCSEL) diodes started several years ago. They have a wide range of applications in laser interferometry and spectroscopy. At present VCSELs become very attractive in optical communications in Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) systems. The influence of the external optical feedback on spectral characteristics of VCSELs has been studied. At present the most interesting solution of this external feedback is to use an external fiber with fíber grating. Thanks to advances in technology of fabrication of fiber gratings they can be used as the external cavity for edge emitting laser diodes and as well as for VCSELs. Study of linewidth improvement, frequency stability, and mechanical stability are growing in importance in connection with fiber gratings Laserové diody s vertikálním rezonátorem VCSEL (Vertical cavity surface emitting laser) mají díky svým unikátním vlastnostem velmi široké využití mimo jiné i v oblastech laserové interferometrie a spektroskopie. Široké využití umožnila jejich sériová produkce, která začala před několika lety. V současnosti se s rozvojem vláknových mřížek začalo využívat spojení diody VCSEL s vláknovou mřížkou ve zpětnovazebním zapojení. Tato práce nastiňuje možnosti zlepšení vlastností laserového zapojení použitím různých typů vláknových mřížek
